NEW YORK, NY, February 15, 2023 - THINK450, the partnership and innovation engine of the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), and Chase Freedom today announced a new campaign designed to advance financial literacy among fans. As part of this initiative, THINK450 and Chase Freedom will collaborate to develop new content and experiences to help fans better understand critical financial literacy components, including financial planning, saving, budgeting, personal credit, and more.

As the central element of this campaign, THINK450 and Chase Freedom will launch ‘Scoring Credit,’ a new branded content series in support of Chase Freedom’s expanded footprint around professional basketball and as the perfect companion for “cashbacking” while watching any NBA game.

Scoring Credit’ will kick off as a three-episode video series featuring NBPA members and the hosts of the “Earn Your Leisure” podcast (Troy Millings and Rashad Bilal). Through this video series, NBPA members Walker Kessler, Jordan Clarkson and former NBPA member Baron Davis will discuss topics focused on financial health, like building and maintaining credit. The ‘Scoring Credit’ video series will be filmed during the 2023 All-Star weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah, and fans will have the opportunity to register for free tickets and watch the live recordings in person. More details on the ‘Scoring Credit’ video series will be released soon, with tickets available for Chase Freedom cardholders and fans at https://scoringcredit.rsvpify.com.

“As leaders of their own brands and businesses, our players have done an amazing job using their platforms to promote financial literacy in their communities,” said Que Gaskins, President of THINK450, the partnership and innovation engine of the NBPA. “We are always looking to champion their efforts, and with this new initiative with Chase Freedom, we have a great opportunity to create impactful content and experiences that build better financial habits for the fans.”

“Chase Freedom is focused on supporting and inspiring cardmembers to make the most of their financial wellbeing and meet their financial goals, no matter where they are in their journey.” said Brent Reinhard, General Manager of Chase Freedom. “‘Scoring Credit’ and our campaign with the NBPA is one way Chase Freedom can be a part of the important conversation of financial literacy and offer engaging and dynamic content to help consumers and fans alike improve their financial health.”

In addition to ‘Scoring Credit,’ Chase has a variety of tools and resources to help consumers improve their financial health. For example, Chase Credit Journey can help consumers monitor their credit score and identity – the best part is its free to use and you don’t need to be a Chase customer to enroll.
